Weekend and 30 day trial update

This entry is part 1 of 7 in the series early rising

Yesterday I had my day off (which was my reward for meeting all my targets at my last mastermind call).  I had fun, relaxing and reading Book 4 of the “Wheel of Time” series by Robert Jordan.  Actually, re-reading.  I’ve been going through books 1-3 over the last week or so, so it’s good revisiting the series.  Only found out the other day that Robert Jordan actually died last September, before the series was finished, so they’ve had to choose someone else to finish it.  Should be interesting to see how the final one pans out!

Today I didn’t exactly get stuck into my stuff first thing – it’s due to rain today so I grabbed the chance to hang washing out, did a few house-holdy type things first, but I’m only writing this after having done my checks (must create a dashboard at some stage) and put together my “About this site” page for anyone looking to find out how to re-create any of the effects here.  I know from another site I’ve worked on that the posts I put up with technical how-to were the most popular, and I’ve been frustrated many times trying to hunt down how someone’s done something on their own blog.  So, in line with the new “useful” philosophy I’ve created a sub-page for my “about” page and put it all up there.  It would be lovely if the movement caught on!

Now, I’d really like to find out what else people would find useful.  According to google, after searching for my domain name, the next most popular phrase was “meringue animals” from a photo I posted after my trip to South Australia (there were some really cute ones in a store window).  While I could hunt down a recipe for them, it’s not really in line with the purpose I’m setting here, so I’m going to be setting up a poll on what YOU would find most useful for me to put up here.  At this stage, I’d aim to have it live by Wednesday, about the time I’ve scheduled my next article to be finished (Top 10 Things to Remember when Times Get Tough)

Weekends, I’m not going to be pushing the 4.30am starts, I’ll just be working to make sure I get my priority actions done, although I do intend to have one day off a week (even the Christian God took the 7th day!).  Weekdays, though, I’ll definitely be putting it at the top of the list. So far, so good.  I’m planning on an afternoon nap today so I can get up early again tomorrow, which is Monday down here…
