Turnaround
Have you ever had someone drop a sentence that was just so profound it made your head spin? Changed your perspective totally on something?
How do you think you would change if you had ten days of it?
I’ve just done that, through one of the most amazing courses I’ve found online (thanks Joshua for the tip). Jeff Smith runs the Ten Day Turnaround and I have to say it goes beyond mind blowing. Instead, it’s closer to ‘mind-stretching’. Every day there was an insight and then an action plan, and let me tell you each and every one was so simple but so resonatingly true that you just couldn’t help but grow your perspective to take it in. I know I’m raving. It was rave-worthy. If you get the chance, DEFINITELY do this! PS For the affiliate sceptics out there, I’m getting no benefits from this referral, but this is one of the best things I’ve ever discovered online, so I’m sharing. Maybe I’ll get some good karma, maybe someone will write back & tell me they’re doing it and it’s changing their life too so I’ll feel really really good about putting them on to it. That’s about the limit of it.
Anyway, based on the way my understanding of the world has now totally flipped into a new dimension, I’m re-working this site. The plan is to make it more user-friendly. There are going to be a few key categories for each of the areas I’m trying to balance into my harmonious whole, so you can click through for the ones that interest you and skip the ones you don’t. I’ll do the same with feeds if you’re subscribed. The spin off blogs I’ve created are going to come back home and get incorporated – I won’t be deleting them but as was pointed out, there really is no way to separate out one part of your life from the rest – it’s all interrelated. It may take me a while, but that’s the plan.
I’m really excited about how some of these changes are going to happen. One of the first is that I’m now getting much better at chasing the fitness/weight loss dream, using the tip from day 4. I now mark every time I stay on the exercise bike for 10m and it’s slowly building up to a sense of real accomplishment that I’m learning to like for itself (even more than the extra ten minutes sleep, although occasionally that still wins!). I did 30 minutes on the bike this morning, taking me the furthest I’ve ever ‘cycled’ in one go. I’ve not been able to do that for probably about a year now. I’m also committed to total and utter honesty in regards to this, and despite the butterflies am posting a full and frank disclosure below. This is the official starting point of my journey.

You’ll see this site getting updated at least twice a week now that all my interests are going to be
consolidated. Plus, there’s an idea I’ve had in the back of my mind for ages that I’m finally resolved to make happen, and I’m incredibly excited about it! First steps first, though, so I’ve got some groundwork to lay.
PS After an incredibly hot day yesterday, a storm broke last night and today the clouds are hanging low over the mountains. It looks STUNNING.
