Oops I did it again! Gotta be careful what I ask for…

This stuff is powerful, I tell ya! Background to this story: I’ve had a lifelong battle with my weight since I was put on my first diet at age 7. A couple years ago I started having a bit of success, and dropped 3 dress sizes, but then my work situation changed and it started going back up again. Lately I’ve been trying to rein that in and get it going back in the right direction.

If you know what it’s like to be overweight, you know that clothes that fit you comfortably are your dearest and most prized possessions, because they are so HARD TO FIND. I have a pair of brown trousers that I love because they look good enough to wear to work, but aren’t stiff and uncomfortable. After my efforts of the last few months they were starting to sit a bit more loosely around the waist, and I enjoyed feeling them move around as I walked down to the bus stop in the morning. This morning, I thought I’d step it up a notch, and decided I soon wanted to feel them falling off me.

This afternoon, I discovered that the hooks on the waistband weren’t sewn on, after all, but had these little spike things that were hammered through. Both fell off, and without them the zip started heading south. I kept on having to find dark places to pull the thing up again – thank the PTBs that I had a long top on over it!!!

I got to feel what it felt like to have them falling off me, and I got results WAY quicker than I thought I possibly could (guess there really are no time constraints on delivery, after all) but next time I think I should be a bit more careful what I ask for…
