There’s nothing quite so panic-ridden as thinking you’ve just broken your website. Or thinking that WordPress 2.7 has broken it.
I made one little change to a page in the theme, caused an error, and all of a sudden I couldn’t get my admin interface to work, let alone get back in to fix it! It looked very scary with text only going ten miles deep into the page. I was sure I’d broken it.
Luckily, I was able to ftp in to delete the new lines and put the file back to it’s original state, but that still didn’t bring the 2.7 admin interface back. I may only had a few new posts since the last backup, but that’s not the point…
Anyway, I hunted down a solution. No, re-installing 2.7 didn’t fix it. Obviously, fixing the error didn’t either. The one fix I did find (and it worked) was to close down my admin page, open the public blog, go to a single entry, and click the ‘edit’ link.
I think the next suburb over must have heard my sigh of relief! At the very least a couple of streets away.
[Update] I’ve been getting a lot of comments in Russian about this, so I decided I’d add the google translate feature here for anyone else that was interested.

Saw I somewhere similar article, and it appears at you have stolen

Someone else said that, but I can promise you I wrote this with a big grin of relief once I found the solution to fixing the problem.
Since it was a major wordpress upgrade, no doubt others discovered the same. Or, someone might have ‘scraped’ or stolen my article and that might be what you’ve seen. It happens, unfortunately. I’d be interested to see the link to the similar article you saw, if you find it again…
Everything on this blog is 100% written by me. No outsourcing, no pirating, and even short quotes are always given proper links and attribution. I couldn’t put the energy and time into this if I wasn’t doing it honestly and ethically. (That’s probably also why my quest is taking so much longer than all those sales pages say it should…)
Regards,
Crystal
Google translation: Listen, you have such a long post composed? Terribly curious ….
Yes, I composed it. This one took me a few days outside work. I should probably write shorter posts, I know…

Google translation:
To me you stole this article and placed on another site. I already saw it.
Afraid not. If it was really similar, you probably saw a site that does something called ‘scraping’ – they sign up for the rss feed and post it automatically as their own work, on their own site.
I can guarantee you I went through this (probably a lot of people did) and wrote it out myself.
